Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of organizational culture and personality characteristics of employees on their decision making styles at Sports General Directorate which has a Central Management System. 282 employees from Sports General Directorate voluntarily participated in study. Personal info form, ''Organizational Culture Scale'' developed by Öcal and Ağca, ''Eysenck Personality Scale'' which was adopted to Turkish by Karancı et. al.(2007) and ''Melbourne Decision Making Scale'' which was adopted to Turkish by Deniz (2004) were used as data collection tool. Data obtained from research was analyzed by using SPSS 22.0 programme. Number, per cent, average and Standard deviation were used as descriptive statistical method. For comparisons between two independent groups T-test and for comparisons that are more than two independent groups Anova (one way) test were used. After Anova test, Scheffe test was usedas post-hoc analysis in order to determine the differences. Among the continuous variables of research, Pearson correlation and regression analysis were used. As a result, it was determined that participants who had more than 16 years of working experience had the highest level (p<0.05) in decision-making self-respect sub-dimension. When examining the averages of decision-making styles' averages according to position; it was seen that while only chief had the lowest difference in postponer decision-making dimension, and other personels had a significantly higher level of difference (p<0.05). When examining decision-making styles averages according to educational status, it was determined that graduate students there was a significant difference (p<0.05) on behalf of graduate students in decision-making self-respect dimension. In addition as a result of correlation analysis in order to determine the relationship among scales, it was determined that there was positive relationship in some dimensions and negative relationships in some dimensions.
