The problems of vocational school students encountering in English classes: A qualitive research in Akdeniz University Manavgat Vocational School

This research aims to determine the problems which associate degree students face while learning English in the classes taught during their first academic year. The study group is Tourism and Travel Services first year students who study at Manavgat Vocational School in the 2012-2013 academic year. Data have been gathered with a technique called data triangulation including focus group interview form and document analysis which is the course book. The results of the focus group interview chapter have been presented by the descriptive analysis method and the results of the document analysis chapter have been presented by percentage distribution. When the gathered data were compared at the end of the study, it is seen that the findings were coherent and meaningful.
