Transcription and evaluation of the books named "Musahabat-i Ahlakiye ve Malumat-i Vataniye"

The aim of this study is to transcribe, the books named "Musahabat-ı Ahlakiye ve Malumat-ı Vataniye 4 ve Musahabat-ı Ahlakiye ve Malumat-ı Vataniye 5" and written for proimary schools 4 and 5 grades, into Latin alphabet and analyze them in some different aspects. In accordance with this aim, firstly, the books "Musahabat-ı Ahlakiye ve Malumat-ı Vataniye 4 ve Musahabat-ı Ahlakiye ve Malumat-ı Vataniye 5" transcribed into Latin alphabet and analyzed subject by subject. This qualitative study was conducted in document analysis method. First the texts transcribed into Latin alphabet then the subjects were analyzed and commented. After the analysis, it is seen that the books "Musahabat-ı Ahlakiye ve Malumat-ı Vataniye 4 ve Musahabat-ı Ahlakiye ve Malumat-ı Vataniye 5" were compatible with the First School Curriculum Programme, texts were arranged inductively. And also the texts were good to develop the skills of target group and the reflcetions of the Repuclic society. Key Words: Citizenship knowledge, Moral knowledge, Teacher Orhan Fuad.
