A research on evaluation of rhododendron taxa in landscape architecture and propagation of Rhododendron luteum in various rooting medium

Rhododendrons, found in our country and especially in East Blacksea Region naturally and have an aesthetically important role in Landscape Architecture are remained only in rural landscape and although it has suitable conditions such as temperature, rain, soiLthey could not be brought to the urban Landscape. Although Rhododendrons tried to be destroyed by mechanical and chemical struggles as they cause problem especially in planting and regeneration activities in Blacksea Forest Areas, too much money was spent for their struggles than in order to use them in our parks and gardens. In this study our aim is to emphasize the usage areas of Rhododendron which has more than 1200 taxa in Landscape Architecture to gain Rhododendron luteum for our parks and gardens by realizing its cutting propagation which has not done before and to give light to further studies on the same topic. Also it is thought that with cutting propagation of Rhododendron luteum not only to decrease the import of them from foreign countries but to provide a contribution to both the economy of country and the people of that region.
