Abstract (EN)

Central Asia, known for its geostrategic location and rich historical background, serves as a crossroads of trade routes and a significant hub for international trade. This region hosts important transportation corridors that bridge Asia and Europe. Uzbekistan, as a key part of Central Asia, is centrally located within these corridors and constitutes a crucial component of the region's transportation network. This study analyzes the current transportation corridors in Central Asia and their significance for Uzbekistan. The thesis examines the usage status, transport capacities, economic impacts, and how Uzbekistan benefits from these corridors in detail. The practical part of this study was prepared by conducting face-to-face interviews with nine companies operating in Uzbekistan that are involved in international transportation. Based on this, it has been concluded that existing transportation corriodrs in Central Asia significantly contribute to Uzbekistan's economic growth and interanational trade connections. However, factors such as the improvement of logistics infrastructure, technological integration, education and skilled human resources, strategic planning, policy development, sustainability, and environmental impacts need to be developed.
