The effect to secondary school teachers' job satisfaction to the occupational burnout level

Abstract (EN)

In this research the purpose is to analyse the effection of job satisfaction to the taechers' occupational burnout in the secondary government schools in Incirliova district of Aydın province. The research contains the teachers in the secondary government schools of Incirliova district of Aydın province in 2013-2014 educational academic term. It is aimed to reach the whole 162 teachers. In the adding up process Personel Information Form, Minnesota Job Satisfaction Measure and Maslach Burnout Measure are used. Teacher's genders, merital status, their schools' socioeconomic conditions and choosing this job willingly or unwilling and differentation of job satisfaction stages are analysed according to free t-Test and Mann-Whitney U. According to teachers' ages, branches, occupational retirements, educational conditions, the number of children and tenures of office the differentation of occupational burnout and job satisfaction are tested with analysis of variance and Kruskal-Wallis. Tukey Test is done to determine the resource of the differentation that is the result of the analysis of variance. To determine the relation between levels of teachers' occupational burnout and job satisfaction, The Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Technique is used. To determine the affection of teachers' job satisfactions on the level of occupational burnout, the regression analysis is used. The relevance of the statistical data's result is determined in the level of .05. In the result of research, it is clear that teachers' emotional burnout levels are higher than their personal success and levels of their depersonalization. And also internal satisfaction levels are higher than general satisfaction and external satisfaction levels. When the affection of demographic parameters are searched on the teachers' occupational burnout and job satisfaction levels; it shows male teachers' level is higher than female teachers' (under the age of 30); teachers' level at the age of 31-35 years is higher than the teachers' at the age of 36-40 years; single teachers' level is higher than married ones; teachers' number who choose the job willingly are higher than the ones who are unwilling, considerably. On the other hand; it is established that the teachers' external dimentional satisfaction; -whose schools' socioeconomic conditions are low-; is lower than teachers whose schools are better socioeconomically. Teachers' external satisfaction who choose their occupation unwillingly is lower than general satisfaction dramatically. Their general satisfaction is lower than their internal saticfaction considerably. It is seen that there are negative meaningful relations between teachers' burnout and occupational level. And also it is seen that the highest relation is on teachers' emotional burnout level and general satisfaction level. It is established that emotional burnout elements are internal and external satisfaction; and that insensativation's and personal success' unique element is intensive satisfaction.
