Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to compare children with specific learning disorder (SLD) and healthy children according to their anxiety and depression levels and to assess SLD group's anxiety and depression levels according to some variables like gender, age and number of siblings. Thirthy participants who were diagnosed as SLD at a psychiatric clinic in İstanbul and thirthy healthy primary school children at a public school were included in this study. Trait Anxiety Inventory and Depression Inventory for Children were used. Although children with SLD have higher depression and anxiety levels than healthy children, it is not statistically significant (p>0,05).In SLD group, children who have two or more siblings have more depression symptoms than children who have one sibling and men are more depressive than women (p<0,05)
