Leadership skills of eeducation administirator during the pandemic period: A case study

Abstract (EN)

In this study, the views of education administrators working in public schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Konyaaltı, Antalya province, regarding the leadership skills of education administrators during the Pandemic period were examined. The research is in the case study pattern of the qualitative research method. In the study, 10 school managers working in public schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Konyaaltı, Antalya province, were selected as a sample. A semi-structured interview form was used as a data collection tool in the research. Content analysis was carried out in the analysis of the interview data, and themes and sub-themes consisting of participant opinions were created. As a result of the research, it has been determined that the leadership skills of education administrators are affected by information skills, technology use skills, communication skills and academic knowledge. It has been observed that education administrators could not use educational institutions much during the pandemic. It has been suggested that education administrators can improve their skills by participating in in-service trainings. Keywords: Education Administrators, leadership skills, pandemic, case study
