This study was conducted to analyze the service performances of the volleyball competitions held during the 2014 Men's Paravolley World Championship and to examine the effects of service on the success of the teams. Since mobility of the players in Paravolley is limited, the effect of the service performance was thought to have a significant effect on the competition performance, assuming that the performance of the service could affect the score and consequently the success of the competition. For this purpose, the competition videos, approximately 92 hours in total, which were recorded during the championship and were accessible on YouTube were analyzed and 6249 services were processed. Kinovea software was used to obtain the data. During the video analysis, the region where the service was performed, the region where the ball landed following the serve and the result of the service were recorded. SPSS 22.0 package program was used for statistical analysis. To examine the differences between the groups; Mann-Whitney U test was used for paired group comparisons and Kruskal-Wallis H test was used for multiple group comparisons. Spearman correlation coefficient was used to examine the relationships between variables. A moderate negative correlation was found between the success rate and the number of aces. In all sets, the most preferred service zones were determined to be the back row (zones 1, 5 and 6). However, when the ace rates were examined, it was found that the services thrown to the front row (zones 2, 3 and 4) had higher success rates than the services thrown to the rear row. As a result of the study, it was found that service performance had an effect on the success of the teams, and there was a moderate statistically significant negative relationship between the number of aces and the competition ranking. As the number of aces increases, the final ranking number of teams decreases. Key Words: Disabled, Paralympic, Sitting volleyball.
