Abstract (EN)
Police Organizations have been established in communities where they exist with the aim of keeping such an order. Those aims can be keeping the existence of a policy as well as an economical system. But during the time, especially with the affect of capitalism, police staff established their vocational organizations for protecting theirselves against to managers and having right to say about the future of their jobs by getting their class conciousness. The aim of this dissertation is to establish first how those police vocational organizations were born by reviewing the police history of England and France where are known as the origin of police and then in the paralel of that, how Polis Derneği (Pol-Der) and Polis Birliği Derneği (Pol-Bir) that were established during 1970s were born and destroyed by trying to review police history in Turkey. During the research, generally, the personal archives of alive or death members of Pol-Der and Pol-Bir, newspaper archives were utilized as well as the books about police which were written ages ago. In the research the inteview technique was applied with the old members of Pol-Der and Pol-Bir. This research is believed to be considered as a resource which is quoating some past experiments for future researches on not only police history but also police vocational organizations that still some arguments are going about.
