Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effects of the extracts of root, stem and leaf obtained from Primula longipes Freyn and Sint on the replication of Autographa calif ornica nuclear polihedrosis virus (AcNPV, Baculovirus) in Spodoptera frugiperda-9 cell culture were investigated. Plant extracts were added at 5 and 10 hour post infections (h.p.i). Also, viruses which were pretreated with plant extracts, for 0 hour and 10 hour at 28°C were used for infection. The effects of the extract on the virus replication were investigated by determining the changes on the morphology and concentration of progeny virus. The most effective results were observed on the experiment performed by application of extract of root and stem at 5 h.p.i. On the other hand, the most effective results were determined after the infection of S. frugiperda cells by AcNPV which were pretreated with extract of leaf, for 10 hours at 28°C. Key Words: Baculovirus, Antiviral, Primula longipes VI
