Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to examining the perceptions of violence of women who exposed to their partner violence in romantic relationships. The research group of the study consists of 20 women with aged between 18 and 35 who have been subjected to violence by their partners in their romantic relationship. Within the scope of the research, "Consent Form", "Personal Information Form" and "Semi-Interview Form" were applied to the participants as data collection tools. Qualitative data were obtained by deciphering the information obtained from the participants in the research and turning them into written text. In the analysis of the obtained data, content analysis was used in qualitative data analysis methods in this research. According to the research results, the violence experienced by the participants negatively affected their relationship satisfaction; most of the participants chose to communicate with their partner as a problem-solving strategy in the problems that arise in the relationship; the most common and most hurtful type of violence is psychological violence; the reasons for the emergence of violence are upbringing, jealousy, cultural conflict and low economic status. The concequeces of the study were discussed according to literature and suggestions were made fort he future studies.
