ABSTRACT DEVELOPMENT OF THE ATTITUDE SCALE TOWARDS WOMEN MANAGERS IN HEALTH INSTITUTIONS: VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY STUDY In the study, it was aimed to develop the scale of attitudes towards female managers in health institutions. The sample of the study consists of 352 health personnel working in Bursa City Hospital. The data were collected with the "Personal Information Form" and the "Draft Attitude Scale Towards Women Managers in Health Institutions". Expert opinions were taken for the scope validity of the scale draft and the scope validity index was determined as 0.77. As a result of the evaluation of the data, it was found that the total score correlation values of the scale item were between -0.193 and 0.804;The KMO value was 0.942 and the Bartlett test results were statistically significant. According to the factor analysis, it was found that the item factor loads were between 0.417 and 0.804, the scale consisted of 29 items and 2 sub-dimensions, and the goodness of fit values were within acceptable limits (χ2= 587.858 (sd)= 316; p< 0.001; χ2 /sd= 1.860; CFI= 0.905; IFI= 0.907; RMSEA= 0.083; SRMR= 0.0525).According to the item discrimination analysis, it was determined that the mean scores of 27% lower and upper quarters showed a statistically significant difference between the two sub-dimensions. Regarding the reliability of the scale, the Cronbach alpha value was 0.957, the Spearman-Brown value was 0.748-0.974 with the halving technique; The Guttman Split-Half value was found to be between 0.748-0.973. In the test-retest analysis, it was determined that there was no statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the first and last tests in the sub-dimensions of positive attitudes and negative attitudes (p>0.05).As a result, it has been seen that the scale developed to measure the attitude towards female managers in health institutions is a valid and reliable measurement tool as a result of the analyzes.
