Abstract (EN)

II. The Constitutional Monarchy declared in 1908 is a turning point in terms of the history of Turkish press as well as politically. The Journal of Sırât-ı Müstakîm started its publication life in 1908, when the II. Constitutional Monarchy was declared, and continued its existence until 1965 with the name Sebîlürreşâd with a name change in 1912. The Islamic Journal was published between 1914-1918. Throughout these processes, journals are a medium where writers with an Islamic mindset share their ideas with everyone. Journals meticulously dealt with the religious, political, scientific, moral and social problems of the period throughout their publishing lives, and they put forward a great struggle against destructive movements, especially anti-religious. This freedom of thought achieved by the press has also led to a wide-ranging discussion environment that has not been seen until today. Especially in the history of Islamic law, the understanding of fiqh, which was shaped around the concept of sect until the 19th century, and in this process, with the influence of Western thought, attempts to evolve into a supra-sectarian understanding by some writers in journals received reaction from the writers with the understanding of classical canon law and started discussions. The aim of this study is to identify the articles written on al-fiqh and usul al-fiqh, which appeared in journals from the first day of publication until 1930; To evaluate the religious, political and intellectual structure of the period, taking into account the intellectual tendencies of the authors and to determine the legal issues discussed among the journals.
