KESKİN Esin Çağla. The Research On Some Of Selected Elementary School Students' Basic Motor Features By TGMD-II Test, (Master's Thesis), Çorum, 2019. In this study, some selected elementary school students' (7-9 years) basic motoric features were evaluated according to the TGMD-II test. A total of 433 children were used as subjects in the research, as being 199 boys and 234 girls. The selected children for the measurement were voluntarily contributed to the research. TGMD-II test with high reliability in measuring basic motor characteristics was used. Measurements were made to determine the basic motor development levels in relation to children's age, gender, parental education status and parental occupation, rural, central school learning. Normality test, as being primarily used neruininks-Oseretsky and the TGMD-II tests, was used for the measurement of children's basic motor development level. Having used normality test, displacement skills, object control skills, and BKMGT-2 total scores were analysed according to the variations of children's age, gender, parental education status and parental occupation, rural and central school education by one way analysis of variance (ANOVA). If the results of ANOVA was meaningful, if assumption on homogeneity of varians was found, Bonferroni test was performed. If assumption on homogeneity of varians was not found, Welch F test and after the process, Games-Howell test was used. Significance level was p <.05 in all statistical analyzes. According to the results of this study, displacement skills didn't show a significant difference between genders; female children were better at object control and gross motor skills (t(431)= -2.40, p<.05). When variations of rural and central school education was considered, central school educated children showed a significant difference for displacement skills and gross motor skills (t(431)= 5.61, p<.001). When different ages were considered, although there was a substantial difference for object control and gross motor skills (F(2, 430)= 4.22, p<.05), there was not a difference for displacement skills. For parental education status, when considered mother's education status, there was not a difference between object control and gross motor skills, children who have high school graduated mothers showed a significant difference as being better at displacement skills F(2, 430)= 5.95, p< .05). In the case of father's education, object control and displacement skills were found to be more significant for children whose father has a university degree, compared to other children (F(2,430)= 22.35, p< .05). When the parental occupation was considered, whereas the mother's profession was not important, children whose father is civil servant had a higher results for object control and gross motor skills (F(3, 429)= 5.20, p<.05).
