The aim of this study is to determine the academic impact of the Education İnformatics Network (EBA) on social studies education. For this purpose, a pre-test, post-test control group experimental model, which is a semi-experimental study has been applied. The success test developed by the researcher has been used as a data collection tool. The experiment was carried out in 2017-2018 academic year at Türkiye Petrolleri Middle School in Adıyaman Center together with 43 test groups, 40 control groups at 6. class level, a total of 83 students. The experiment and control groups were determined in the study which lasted for 6 weeks and EBA-supported instruction was applied using EBA content in the experimental group. In the control group, lessons were taught in accordance with the teacher's guide book prepared by the Ministry of National Education according to constructivist approach without using a different method. Pre-test and post-tests were applied in experimental and control groups. The data were analysed using dependent and independent groups t-test. As a result of the data, there was no significant difference between scores the post-tests of experimental and control groups. In other words, the EBA-supported teaching and the prepared teacher's guide book according to constructivist approach had a similar effect on academic success. vii As a result of the findings obtained from the research, suggestions were made to improve the existing situation, to support EBA in terms of content, making technological investments in parallel with the development of teachers.
