Abstract (EN)

In this study, which was carried out to determine the water quality of Susurluk Stream and Karadere, 5207 individuals were collected from 14 different locations in 2021 in 2 different time periods of the year (July and September), and 37 families (Baetidae, Caenidae, Corixidae, Gerridae, Naucoridae, Nepidae, Hydrometridae, Pleidae, Mesovelidae, Coenagrionidae, Libellulidae, Calopterygidae, Cordulegasteridae, Gomphidae, Chironomidae, Stratiomyidae, Sciomyzidae, Ceratopogonidae, Simulidae, Hydropsychidae, Erpobdellidae, Glossiphonidae, Asellidae, Gammaridae, Physidae, Lymnaeidae, Melanopsidae, Planorbidae, Hydrobiidae, Viviparidae, Dytiscidae, Hydrophilidae, Hygrobiidae, Haliplidae, Curculionidae, Noteridae ve Unionidae) belonging to 15 orders were determined. Insecta was the most dominant group among the Insecta, Malacostraca, Gastropoda, Clitellata and Bivalvia classes. In order to determine the water quality, BMWP Original, BMWP Turkish, BMWP Spanish and ASPT biotic indexes were used and index results were determined for each station as the first and second periods. The causes of the detected pollution are discussed. According to the index results, 5 different water quality steps were determined
