The relationship between poetry and philosophy in literature of Tanzimat Era (First era)

Tanzimat literatüre forced the limits and the forms of Divan Literatüre and diverged from Divan Literatüre. The politics and the social conditions of Ottoman Empire affected this case. The impact of western progress on Ottoman society also directed this period. In this study, it was aimed to interrogate the impact of Tanzimat era on the literatüre, art and in particular poem. The impact of new arrangements on poem was interrogated in the context of Tanzimat intellectual's ideas and the philosophical trends. It was aimed to explain the factors which constitued the new poem succeeding Divan Literature.
