Abstract (EN)
The Ottoman State has built many buildings. Inside borders throughout history many of these buildings are in use today, some of them are demolished. Among these buildings which reflect our history, the baths have an important place. Bath buildings reflect a society's understanding of cleanliness and bathing culture. These structures have been architectural configuration since the earliest times and have gradually formed their own typology. The historical baths which were built in the city of Gaziantep are one of the most beautiful examples of Ottoman architecture. Many of these baths continue to serve as baths today, some of them have been destroyed or being used for other purposes. Towards subject mentioned above, plan typologies, building materials and their usage were examined in my study of historical baths of Gaziantep which has a long history. In the conclusion section, historical bath buildings in Gaziantep are explained by comparing plan typologies, facade features, spatial distributions and cover systems.
