Abstract (EN)
In this study, the usability of boron wastes in Stone Mastic asphalt and concrete road pavement was investigated. In the study, 4 different types of concrete were produced for concrete experiments: Boron aggregate fiberless reference concrete (BRB), Boron aggregate fiber reference concrete (BRLB), Boron aggregate fiberless powder concrete (BPB), Boron aggregate fiber powder concrete (BLPB). Samples removed from the molds; 28 Days 20oC Water Cure, 28 Days Air Cure, 3 Days Water + 2 Days 200oC Oven Cure (Combined cure) was applied. Pressure test, bending test, split tensile test, abrasion test, freeze and thaw test were applied to concrete samples after curing processes. In the experiments for the usability of boron material in concrete road pavements; Powder concretes meet the pressure and bending strength standards in all curing conditions. It has also been found to meet the standards in both cases, with or without fibers. For Stone Mastic Asphalt tests, aggregate samples; Determination of Shatter Resistance, Determination of Clay Ratio in Fine Aggregate, Resistance to Air Effects , Water Absorption Test, Saturated Surface Dry Unit Volume Weight tests were performed. As a result of the experiments, it was observed that the samples did not meet the physical and mechanical properties stated in the specification criteria in the Highway Technical Specifications . Thus, it has been determined that concrete cannot be used in the production of BSK (Bituminous Foundation, Binder, Abrasion, TMA), foundation, subbase, PMT, PMAT.
