Abstract (EN)

In this study, the usability of trachydacitic aggregate in the concrete road pavement was investigated. For this purpose, four new types fibrous and fiberless concrete specimens were employed. Compression, flexural, freezing-thawing, Bohme abrasion and unit weight tests were performed to investigate strenght-durability properties of concrete, To obtain physical and chemical properties of trachydacitic aggregate; water absorption, specific gravity, unit weight, chemical analysis tests were performed and also Los Angeles abrasion test was incorporated to obtain agregate's resistance to fragmentation. For the purpose of examination internal structure, cement-fiber adherence, void structure of concrete, SEM-EDX-XRD analyses were performed. As curing applications, two types cures were applied: 28 days 20 °C water curing and as combined curing 3 days 20 °C water curing + 2 days 200 °C oven curing. As a result of the compression and flexural tests, the highest results were obtained by combined curing applied DFPC. Regarding to Bohme abrasion and freezing-thawing test, best performance was gotten by water curing applied DFPC and combined curing applied DC samples respectively. Experimental results have proved the usability of trachydacitic aggregated RPC in the concrete road pavement.
