Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to research the differences on the physical, anthropometric, flexibility, endurance, speed, somatotip and some motoric characteristics between young men national boxing team and young boxers at an amateur level in Ankara. In this study, it was reached to the 20 boxers in the preparation camp on December 10, 2012. Their measurements were taken by 5 researchers in the training center of the Eryaman Olympic preparation camp where they had camped. It was reached to 40 young boxers who participated to the competitions at the amateur level in Ankara. However, 20 boxers participated in our study voluntarily. Their measurements were taken by 5 researchers in the training center of the Eryaman Olympic preparation camp on December 20, 2012 Anthropometric measurements (skinfolt, diameter and circumference) were taken by the same person for two groups. Young boxers' at an amateur level and the national boxers' measurements were taken in the training center of the Eryaman Olympic preparation camp in Ankara once in 10 days. In this study, totally 40 boxers are researched from young national boxing team and other 20 boxers from non-national boxing team by making a comparison between 20 boxers. The measuring data has been analyzed statistically through the computer program. In this study, t-test was applied for two independent groups. To be able to get the significant outcomes, alpha value is chosen as 0, 05 and p<0, 05 is accepted meaningful. As a result of this research, it is not seen a meaningful difference at the level of p<0,05 for the young boxers at an amateur level in Ankara in terms of their physical characteristics (height and weight). However, while there is no a considerable difference in the boxers' body fat measure and their body measure, some meaningful differences are found at the level of p<0,05 in terms of the humerus measurement which is one of the diameter measurements, as well. On the other hand, in this study, there are meaningful differences at the level of p<0,05 which are long jumping by standing, flexibility and sprinting of 30 meters. However, any kind of difference has been found about shuttle running of 20 meters at the level of p<0,05. Furthermore, it is found no meaningful difference in the somatotype measurement between two groups at the level of p<0,05. Even there is no difference among some measurements, it is found out that national boxers have a better body structure more than young boxers at an amateur level in Ankara in respect of physical, anthropometric, flexibility, endurance, speed, somatotip and some motoric characteristics Key words: Boxing, dynamometry, anthropometri.
