The formation of anti-hero in Turkish novel (From the beginning to 1950)

The purpose of this dissertation named as The Formation of Anti-Hero in Turkish Novel (From the Beginning to 1950) is to introduce how anti-hero phenomenon emerges and goes through changes till 1950's. In order to achieve this purpose, a conceptual framework is constructed in the first place by emphasising the hero phenomenon which is crucial to perceive the term of anti-hero. Also, the definitions and historical processes of hero and anti-hero are introduced. After constructing the conceptual framework, the novels in which heroes mainly shaped by anti-hero features are handled chronologically from the period starting with the first samples of Turkish novel to the 1950's.
