Agricultural insurance pool and tarsim practices in Turkish agricultural insurance

The sector of agriculture is one of the important sectors of the world in terms of it?s qualities. However, owing to carrying it on in outdoor generally, agricultural production is frequently affected many of the risks and uncertainty. The effects of these risks and uncertainties are necessary to be minimized for realizing constant and fertile agricultural production. Agricultural insurance is the most important risk management device which enables avoiding against these risks and uncertainties. Agricultural insurance which guarantees the risks and uncertainties that affect agricultural production, enables continuity of agricultural production. The sector of agriculture in Turkey contributes state development in many ways and has a great potential. In terms of the evaluation of this potential, agricultural insurance has a great significance. In this research, the following topics are examined; the works of Agricultural Insurance Pool and TARSIM which forms are the basis of agricultural insurance supported by the state on applied owing to the settings of ?Agricultural Insurance Law? accepted in Turkey on 14.06.2005 and the matter need to be focused on for the successful future of the new system.Key Words: Agriculture, Agricultural Insurance, Agricultural Insurance Pool, TARSIM
