Abstract (EN)

In this study, in which we aimed to examine the musculoskeletal problems experienced by aircraft maintenance technicians due to work difficulties, there are discussions in the literature that musculoskeletal disorders are becoming increasingly common depending on the work done. While this study contributes to the related discussions through male aircraft maintenance technicians employed in Turkey, at the same time, the relationship between demographic factors, lifestyle, psychological and physical pressure caused by work, stress factors and musculoskeletal system problems has been examined. In cases where the relationships were significant, the risk ratio was calculated. In addition, the effect of pain intensity in the musculoskeletal system on job satisfaction was investigated. Problem areas in the musculoskeletal system and the severity of pain, soreness, and discomfort were measured with the Extended NORDIC Musculoskeletal Scale (NORDIC-G). The Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale (MID) was used to measure the level of job satisfaction. Pain, pain, discomfort and demographic factors in the neck and shoulder regions, the psychological and physical difficulty of the job, the relationship with the stress it creates were analyzed with the binary logistic regression model. Education level, marital status and the level of stress caused by the job in daily life are significant predictors of having a problem in the neck region. Compared to the participants with high school or lower education, the probability of having a problem in the neck region of those with undergraduate and higher education is 17.15%, while those of the others are 82.85%. The probability of having a partner (married or romantic relationship) is 81.43%. As the level of work-related daily life stress increases, the probability of feeling discomfort in the neck region is 1.36 times more compared to lower levels. The level of finding healthy sleep patterns, the level of stress caused by work in daily life, the level of physical activity during the day are significant predictors of individuals with and without problems in the shoulder region. As the level of individuals' finding healthy sleep patterns increases, the probability of having a problem with the shoulder decreases 0.70 times. As the contribution of the work to the stress in daily life increases, the probability of having a problem in the shoulder increases 1.41 times. As the daily physical activity level increases, the probability of having a problem in the shoulder area increases 1.30 times. Chi-square analysis was used to investigate the relationship between pain, pain, discomfort in the waist, back, knee, wrist, ankle at any time, and demographic factors. K-Means clustering analysis was conducted by including the perceptions of sleep patterns, healthy eating patterns, daily physical activity levels, physical and psychological difficulties and stress levels caused by work and its negative impact on quality of life in the model, and participants with low positive perception and high positive perception were included in the model. divided into two. The relationship between pain status in the musculoskeletal system regions of the individuals in both clusters was examined by Chi-square analysis and risk estimation was made. The effectof musculoskeletal pain and discomfort level on job satisfaction was investigated by regression analysis.
