Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between relationship satisfaction and self-efficacy levels of university students. In addition, it's aimed to examine whether there is a difference between the demographic variables of the participants (gender, age, class level, family's approach to the relationship, relationship duration, communication style and meeting frequency evaluation) and relationship satisfaction scores. The participants of the research are students who study at Mersin University, Çağ University and Toros University in the 2020-2021 academic year and have a romantic relationship. 228 (152 female, 76 male) university students who had a romantic relationship participated in the study. In this study, Hendrick's Relationship Satisfaction Scale (ISS) was used to determine relationship satisfaction level, Jerusalem and Schwarzer General Self-Efficacy Scale (GAS) and "demographic information form" prepared by the researcher were used to determine the level of self-efficacy. The data obtained from the research were analyzed with the statistical program in Social Sciences. According to the findings of the research, it was observed that the romantic relationship satisfaction scores differed positively and significantly with age, grade level, family approach to the relationship and meeting frequency evaluation variables. However, no significant difference was found between the romantic relationship satisfaction scores and the variables of gender, duration of relationship and communication style. A positive and significant relationship was found between the students' romantic relationship satisfaction scores and their self-efficacy level scores.
