Abstract (EN)

SUMMARY A Study on the Determining of UzungöTs Properties in terms of Fisheries, Hydrography and Recreation In this study, It has been investigated the environmental parameters (water temperature, dissolved oxygen level, conductivity and pH), amount of suspended solids and klorofil-a concentration of Uzungöl. The environmental problems of Uzungöl which are the shoaling with sedimantation due to rivers and the covering the lake surface with water plants has been determined and investigated to solve these problems. In this study, it has been find that Uzungöl is approximately 837 m in length and 279 m in width and has got 5.87 m maximum depth. The mean water temperature of Uzungöl is 9 °C during a period of one year. Dissolved oxygen level is as 0.03 mg/1 on the water plants area and maximum 14.35 mg/1 in other stations. pH of Uzungöl is varies between 5.50 and 8.15 during the year. The conductivity in the water of Uzungöl is also varies between 26.9 and 95.8 us. In the other hand, it has been find that Haldizen and Balastel rivers have been transported as 9.5 mg/1 and 10.2 mg/1 the suspended solids to Uzungöl, separately. And it has been determined that it might deposite silts and solid materials to Uzungöl as mean 533 ton/year (3457 ton/y as maximum-126 ton/y as minimum) solid materials. So, it has been determined that its volume might decreases as mean 355 m3/y (2304 m3/y as maximum and 84 m3/y as minimum). In this work, it has been determined that if we consider the volume decreasing in Uzungöl during last 20 years, Uzungöl might lose its ornitological properties, touristic, ecological and fisheries potentials. The best rehabilitation method is to discharge of sediments on the lake bottom and the cleaning the water plants by the mechanic methods immediately.
