Abstract (EN)

The Foundatıons Records Archive of the General Directorate of Foundations is one of the most important archives that contain other foundation documents, especially the foundations. In the archive, besides the foundation books, there are many books/documents related to the transactions related to the foundations, the Works and transactions. One of the documents in the archive is the Hurufat Notebooks. The Hurufat Notebooks, as the name suggests, were created by ordering the accidents in Arabic alphabet. In these notebooks, in the appointment of officials such as teacher, professor, imam, preacher, trustee, minister, ferraşlik, it is mentioned in a few sentences who was appointed to these posts, when and why and how much they received for his duty. Foundations, one of the most important institutions of the Ottoman State, constitute the basic structural unit of the state organization. Even in this way, the Ottoman State was named as the "Foundation State". Thanks to the Book Number 1223 which is examined for his purpose, a lot of information about the social, political and economic life of the Ottoman Empire is reached.
