Abstract (EN)

Tensile behavior of single “L” type joints investigated experimentally and numerically. 2 mm, 3 mm and 4 mm was choosen as adherend thickness 10 mm, 15 mm and 20 mm selected as overlap length. Adherends joined with 3M 2216 epoxy based adhesive and steel and aluminium rivets. Tensile testsing of jonts was carried out Shimadzu universal testing machine with 5 kN loadcell. Ansys Workbench was used for finite element analysis. Results showed that models with 20 mm overlap length has highest strength. Models with steel rivet has higher strength than models with aluminium rivets for all overlap lengths.
