Abstract (EN)
To enhance the technological applicability of the Maglev systems the magnetic levitation and guidance force values must be increased. In conventional Maglev systems, although the guidance force values between the magnetic guideway and superconductors are good, it was observed from the studies that magnetic levitation force is not at desired level. The goal of this study is to increase the magnetic levitation force, guidance force and magnetic stiffness values. For this purpose, firstly the Magnetic Force Measurement System was designed and fabricated. In the performed study, effect of different dimensions of the conventional PMG and two pole Halbach PMG used in literature frequently and additional onboard PM on the magnetic force properties of Maglev systems were investigated. Before the experiments, the magnetic field profiles of different permanent magnetic guideways (PMG) were modelled via COMSOL Multiphysics 4.2a package and thus optimum magnetic field distributions were determined. The measurements for different HTS‒PMG were done in different cooling heights (CH) and different cooling conditions (FC and ZFC). In the performed studies, the magnetic levitation force, guidance force and magnetic stiffness values were determined generally big as compared to the literature. Also, it is concluded that the additional permanent magnets that are used in appropriate positions and directions with superconductors are useful to enhance the load capacity of the hybrid Maglev systems. It is believed that the results of this study will make a contribution to enhancement of technological applicability of the Maglev systems and the scientific knowledge in our country.
