Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to determine the impact primary school teachers have on children's rights from a managerial point of view. The results were gathered through a survey in which 434 teachers participated and 37 teachers were interviewed. Participants were randomly selected in the working group. In this research, quantitative and qualitative research methods were used in combination. While quantitative data survey techniques were applied as a collection tool, qualitative data collection techniques were used as a semi-structured interview guide. The research results showed that knowledge of the convention varies according to gender, age, marital status, parental status, education level and seniority in profession, and also showed that the effect of these factors is significant. The survey resulted in teachers actually reading the Convention on the Rights of the Child having a strong knowledge about the case (in many areas) but not in complying with the regulations. It was found that the reasons why teachers did not comply with the regulations were personal reasons and there are cases that exceed themselves. Following the Children's Rights Convention show that from the managerial point of view there are many positive outcomes (manager, teacher, student, other personnel). However, despite the positive results there is still a serious deficiency in practising the right to participate. Besides the physical structure of the school is not appropriate to the child's developmental stage; the relationship between teachers and students is not at the desired level. This research study is only aimed at primary school teachers. In this respect, the manager-student-branch teachers-parents etc were not included in the research. In future studies which involve similar research, the thoughts of managers, students and other branch teachers could be considered.
