Abstract (EN)

United States of America has launched a new policy under the name of the war on terrorism after the September 11 Attacks. It has intervened to many other countries on the bases of this policy. In this content it has continued its political rhetoric via mass communication tools to create its hegemony and ideology. Hollywood cinema which has a great importance in this mass media has been used as an effective tool in the creation of ideological, hegemonic structure and political rhetoric. This study focuses on Hollywood's constructing of perception towards the terrorism within the theoretical framework of ideology and hegemony. Three productions so-called Black Hawk Down, The Hurt Locker, Argo which came out after 11 September attacks have been analyzed by Van Dijk's ideological discourse analysis.
