15th and 16th yy iznik tile motifs and interpretation of linole print picture technique

This study includes the application of İznik tile motives in the 15 th and16 th centuries with linocut drawing teachnique and the analyses in terms of plastic arts. İn the historical process, İznik tile motives were not only in tile art but also in stonemasonry, woodworking, cloth, illumination, marbling art, figures of rug and carpet, when we look at present they have been used on small household goods mostly. Today, search of application of these motives in different areas with unique designs by inspiring from traditional motives continues. This study which is designed within scanning model is limited with reserching the 15 th and 16 th century Iznik tile motives according to the theoratical frame and 10 pieces of linocut applications and analysis of these applications. In the tryings which are done on the procticality techniques of tile moties with linocut methods, the compositions which are designed with collage techigue were printed in color.
