Abstract (EN)

Main source of this study composed from documents from kadis of Manisa and Balıkesir which are among the most important sheriyye sijils of western Anatolia in limited numbers. As widely known sheriyye sijils contains important data that shed light on the history of region in which they were recorded and also about the functioning of central government and state organization. Manisa Sheriyye Sijils, with its defters covering the end of 17th century and the whole of 18th centuries, contains documents related not only to Manisabut also to entire western Anatolia since its assignation as one of the most important districts of muhassıllık administration.Anatolia during the first years of the Tulip Era which are designated as the period of this study, is a somewhat negleted study hitherto in the researches of Anatolian Ottoman History. From this point this study tries to find an answer to the question of what was the state of western Anatolia during the first years of the Tulip Era.This study contains many exampling documents about this topic.
