Abstract (TR)
Bu tez, Doğulu kadının 19. yüzyıldaki fotografiktemsilini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalısmanın teorikçerçevesi ?Doğulu kadın? temsilinin, Oryantalist söylembağlamındaki olusumuna dayanmaktadır. Oryantalist stüdyofotoğrafçılığının ortaya çıkısı, Doğulu kadınfotoğraflarının tematik sınıflandırılmasıyla birlikteanaliz edilmistir. Bununla birlikte, Batılı özneninDoğulu kadın imgeleri üzerinden kendisini arzuaracılığıyla nasıl kurduğu tartısılmıstır.
