The situs of figure in postmodern art between 1980-1995

In this research, until 1980s economic, political, social and cultural factors that are setting stage fort he postmodern art have been taken up as a whole. These factors' effects to postmodern art are endeavoured to be examined between years 1980 and 1995. Postmodernism is seen as a threat that ignores its aim of instutional art. It has the idea about general meaning of art that can't be limited with museums or galeries. The under standing of postmodernism requires the difference between the art and daily life should be ambiguous. It brings the idea of "Art is Everywhere". Eventually even if postmodernism is seen as a critic of modern culture which is a big dilemma of humanity, actually ıt is an art concept that arises on the moral abysm and depression caused by modern time. In Postmodern Art that has the idea of mixing traditional forms and modern living, human being isn't the centre inversely of classic era. The place of the person in technological civilization has the position that includes the objects having different meaning. Postmodernism which stands the eclectical thinking of conveying traditional one to modern living, gives importance to coincidences. It interiorizes a different distinctive approach not taking care of the qualites of classic era. This approach that question the modern art brings irony, pastiche and kitsch.
