Abstract (EN)
Stainless steels are preferred in various areas nowadays, especially in chemistry and food industries. AISI 304L which is an austenitic steel is the most preferred stainless steel in the industry due to its' considerable ductility under transition temperature. Besides, AISI 304L has considerable corrosion resistance in extreme low (up to -270 ºC) and high temperatures, and superior mechanical properties. In this study, a quick welding type, MIG/MAG welding, was preferred in the butt welding process of AISI 304L steel. Mechanical properties of specimens welded with various welding wires and parameters, were investigated experimentally.
