Abstract (EN)

This research was carried out using the qualitative research method and case study design in order to reveal the opinions of the teachers working in the Qur'an courses for the ages of 4-6 under the Presidency of Religious Affairs on the teaching methods and to identify the problems encountered in the courses. The sample of the research consisted of 37 instructors working in the Qur'an courses for 4-6 years old within the body of Samsun Provincial Mufti. The data were collected in written form using a semi-structured form between 20.11.2020-20.02.2021. Descriptive analysis method was used in the evaluation of the data. As a result of the research, it was determined that the majority of the 4-6 year old Qur'an Course instructors participating in the study were in the 35-41 age range. According to the findings obtained in the research, it was determined that the teachers used the drama method, the educational game technique and the narration method, respectively. It was determined that the majority of the 4-6 year old Qur'an course instructors who participated in the research did not consider themselves sufficient in the use of teaching methods and believed that they should improve. It has been determined that the instructors, who stated that they could not use student-centered methods adequately, attributed this situation to problems related to student characteristics, problems related to school structure, shortage of tools and equipment, and not having sufficient equipment in teaching methods.
