Abstract (EN)
The basic source of this study, the books of tahrir, provides us the information of Ottoman Empire' s social, economical and human knowledge. The 47th tahrir book enlightens us about Altuntaş townshisp's geographical, historical, administrative affairs, population and econonomical conditions. Excopt from the prologue, there are four chapters. The Ottoman Empire's demolition Works and the 47th tahrir book were mentioned in the prologue. The first part states us the geographical location and the process of the history of Altuntaş. In the second part the administrative structure of Altuntaş and its portions were mentioned. In the third part, the estimated population of the town, the population density of the villages and the current population were given. In the fourth part the economic structure of the period was explained by pointing on the soil saving, taxes and agricultural production of the town.
