Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to "examine the effect of bosu ball using on some physical fitness parameters in 5-6 years old children taking gymnastics lessons". 70 (n=35 application - n=35 control group) students were selected by simple sampling method from 5-6 years old students taking gymnastics lessons in a kindergarden in Afyonkarahisar province. Necessary permissions were obtained before the research, and at the beginning of the research, demographic information (height, weight, age) was taken from all children as a pre-test, and flexibility, standing long jump, vertical jump, leg strength, hand grip strength and balance were measured. In addition to their routine training, the students in the application group were made to perform predetermined movements with a bosu ball, 3 days a week and 3 sets, for 12 weeks. In data analysis, firstly, skewness-kurtosis values were examined to determine whether the data showed normal distribution in the pre-test and post-test values of the experimental and control groups. For demographic information of students average, standart deviation ovel percentage value were examined. Before the analyses, Levene's test was used to determine the variance equality of the pre-test scores of the groups according to the measurements, and the independent t test was performed to determine the difference between the groups. With the data showing normal distribution, 2*2 ANOVA analysis was applied in repeated measurements to determine descriptive statistics and pre-test and post-test values of the experimental and control groups. The significance level of the data was determined as p<0.05. Data analysis was done in the SPSS 25.0 package program. In conclusion; While a significant difference was observed in the pre-test and post-test data within the group on the anthropometric measurement values of the bosu ball exercises applied for 12 weeks in addition to gymnastics lessons in 5-6 year old kindergarten children, it was determined that there was no statistically significant difference in the pre- and post-test measurements between the groups. It was determined that a significant increase was achieved in the pre-test and post-test values of both the application group and the control group in flexibility, standing long jump, vertical jump, anaerobic power, leg strength, hand grip strength and balance parameters. However, it was determined that the increases in the application group were greater than the control group.
