Abstract (EN)

In this study, which is based on the transcription and evaluation of the Antalya sher'iyye registry number 7 dated 1850-1854, the starting point of the thesis is to examine the social and economic situation of the city of Antalya at that time and to examine the situation caused by this situation on the basis of Ottoman local history. Undoubtedly, one of the most important sources of Ottoman local history studies is shar'iyye registers. By analysing the documents in the registers, detailed information about the social and economic situation of a city at that time can be obtained. In this study, by analysing the documents available in Antalya's Sher'iyye Registry No. 7, Antalya's social and economic structure, family structure, marriage, divorce, trade, etc. were tried to be revealed. In the general evaluation of the No. 7 Antalya registry, the introduction of the registry, settlements as mentioned in the registry, probate records, information about the tribes and hayriyye merchants are given. The fourth section includes information on the transcription of the registry, the procedure followed in transcription and document summaries.
