Abstract (EN)
Perfusion Index Measurement In Patients Who Admitted To The Emergency Department With Chest Pain, Monitoring of vital parameters of patients admitted to emergency department is extremely important and guiding. As vital signs, arterial blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, body temprature and pulse oximetry measurements take place. As vital signs, perfusion index measurement can offer useful data to emergency physician for the status of the patients and follow-up. These non-invasive methods are prefered for daily use. Measurement of perfusion index is in the non-invasive methods. It is calculated by means of pulse oximetry by expressing the pulsatile signal (during arterial inflow) as a percentage of the nonpulsatile signal, both of which are derived from the amount of infrared light absorbed by a probe of the fingertip. Provide information about the patient's cardiac output and hemodynamics. In our study, perfusion index measurements were made in patients who admitted to the emergency department with chest pain, aged 18 years and old. To be able to compare the perfusion index measurements were performed in healthy volunteers. Perfusion index mean values was calculated in the patient group and control group. In our study, there was a significant difference between the two groups in terms of perfusion index. According to the results, the control group mean perfusion index was 5.078 and the patient's perfusion index was 3.828. In our study the value of critical perfusion index (cutoff value) of the control group were calculated. Critical perfusion index value was calculated as 3.9. Acoording to this result, perfusion index, which is below the value of 3.9 is considered to be people who have low perfusion index. In our study , perfusion index values of acute illness and serious diseases, were significantly lower than the control group. In patients diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome, cardiac troponin-positive and troponin-negative patients were compared according to the values of perfusion index. There is a significant difference between the values. In accordance with the data obtained from this study, perfusion index (non-invasive assessment) could be used as an indicator of periferal perfusion in critically ill patients.
