Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to investigate the problems experienced by high school students who took emergency distance education courses during the Covid-19 pandemic period on numerical courses as the source of the problems experienced in numerical courses in the factors of insufficient question solving, environmental conditions and teacher competence examined according to the variables of age, gender, grade level, number of siblings, type of school, technological device type and success in numerical courses in previous years. In accordance with this purpose, the survey model that one of the quantitative research methods has been selected. The study group of the research consists of 289 high school students who took courses with distance education during the pandemic and were determined by the purposive sampling method. "Distance Education Scale" developed by Kiremit et al. (2021) was used as a data collection tool in the study. The scale has a 3-factors which are "environment", "teacher" and "insufficient number of questions solved" and 5-point Likert type (strongly agree 5, strongly disagree 1) structure. The averages of the students participating in the research were found to be high for all factors of the scale. Significant differences were determined in all factors of the scale according to gender and school type variables. According to the grade level variable, a significant difference was found only in the "Insufficient number of solved questions" sub-factor. No significant differences were found in any factors according to the variables of age, number of siblings, technological device used while participating in distance education, and success in numerical courses in previous years.
