Abstract (EN)
For Turkish community, an institutionalisation process begins on the subject of theater and playwriting as is the case with lots of areas with republic period. This new regim causes not only a reformist gaverment policy but also a complate western culture understanting. Adalet Ağaoğlu, having an important role among the Turkish playwritings, becames modern Turkish women's voice on the stage of the theater with her critical approach to her time, high level artist sensibility and intellectual identity. The writer, trying to express the numerous subjects such as policy, art, tradition, daily life, marriage and rural – urban migration, provides this with a theatrical language proceded from individual to society. With her long and short plays giving a place to people from every walk, Adalet Ağaoğlu is mentioned among the writers who write about recent period. In this study, Adalet Ağaoğlu, having on experience of seventy years in art life, is tried to introduce the place in Turkish theater and the importance of playwritings.
