A review on Afsar Timucin's life, art and poems

Afşar Timuçin is a important name that made important contributions to Turkish poetry in the recent period. he aims to illuminate the world of emotions and thoughts of individuals with the works which he has given in the period of 1960 and its after. In addition to the appearance of a "warrior"that fighting for a human life, not only there is a type of person who does not give up purity and childish sensitivity, but also experiences all forms of love with intense passion in Timuçin's poetry. He process this individual depth over his works against the socialistic understanding of art. Because it is the main goal of his art to treat a person in both thinking and feeling aspects. Only in this way he think that he can reach the qualified person with both subjective and objective characteristics. In this study, the works of Afşar Timuçin are listed according to the date of publication. The works were examined according to the method proposed by Şerif Aktaş in his work "Poetry Analysis & Theory and Practice", in which the poems were evaluated in terms of mentality, structure, theme, harmony, language and stylistic elements. The first chapter "Life to Art", the poet's birth and childhood, education, entry into literary circles prison and acquittal processes, interest in politics, marriage, business, nature, characteristics, and their opinions about the identity of the philosopher after giving information about art works, the artist's view and his literary personality are evaluated. In the second part, the poems we selected from the fifteen poetry books that we have sorted chronologically according to the publication date is analysed in terms of mentality, structure, theme, language and expression, and harmony.
