Afyonkarahisar mosque and dervish lodge music

Turkish Religious Music is discussed under two main headings as Mosque and Dervish Lodge Music. Mosque and Dervish Lodge Music, which includes various musical forms, differs according to the place and time of its application. In this study, titled "Afyonkarahisar Mosque and Dervish Lodge Music", religious music practices in Afyonkarahisar province have strived to be revealed. The study consists of three parts. In the first part of this study, the historical, cultural, and religious features of Afyonkarahisar province are mentioned. In the second part, the forms belonging to the mosque and dervish lodge music are briefly explained. As for the third part, the religious music practices and performance styles that are kept alive in Afyonkarahisar are mentioned. In order to obtain data for this study, the necessary data was scanned and collected within the available sources (written sources, visual and auditory material, etc.). A field study was carried out, face-to-face interviews were made with people related to the subject, also the relevant studies were recorded. It is anticipated that this study will contribute to the field and support new studies on the subject.
