Ahmet Haşim's dictionary

Dictionaries are the treasures of the nations which they belong. The very first studies in the language field were about dictionaries. In the past centuries, dictionary studies have been done in many different fields in world languages. It can be said that, poet and writer dictionaries are the most important genre of the field which has the diversity from dialect and accent dictionaries to term dictionaries and from level dictionaries to era dictionaries. Vocabulary studies, play a large role in determining the perspective of poets and writers, to see the traces of the community they belong and the social events of the community they live in. In this study, we want to draw attention to the issue of the preparation of poet and writer dictionaries from the point that "poets and writers use a special language in their own language" or "they use the national language in special way belong to them". The important thing in the poet writer dictionaries or vocabulary studies is the usage of the common words from the writer's own perspective and which features the common words gain. The culture of the Turkish nation, which has ruled the three continents since ancient times, is quite rich as it is known. The transfer of this culture to future generations has been thanks to the rich vocabulary such as Ahmet Hâşim's, poets and writers with a vast cultural accumulation, an extremely powerful imagination. From the point that poets and writers are being the most important cultural carriers, in this study, the contributions of Ahmet Haşim, who is remarkable in terms of language and style in 20th century literature, to our language fortune and to our cultural treasure were examined. After that, all the poems and prose were enumerated and the words of all the works were indexed. Afterwards, the frequency of the words and in which poem or prose they exists are shown and the shooting attachments are divided. The words which are classified in alphabetical order are given by taking into account their meaning within the sentences they passed in Haşim's poetry and prose. All the meanings of the words used by Haşim were tried to be given including the all of the nuances. We have the chance to know about Ahmet Haşim's vocabulary and to see the words he used at least and the words he used most frequently, the frequency of the words used, how often he used the types of verbs and names, and the status of special words in the general table in order. Thus, we concluded that Ahmet Haşim used Turkish which he enriched with Arabic, Persian and French, without compromising national elements as content, by reaching his idea and art world. we believe that will enlighten the new studies related to the artist.
