Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this research is to determine the role of religion and spirituality in coping with the problems of clients applying to Family and Religious Guidance Offices.. This study was conducted using the phenomenological design, one of the qualitative research methods. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 20 married participants who received counseling services from the Family and Religious Guidance Office of the Eyüpsultan Mufti's Office. The data obtained were analyzed using thematic analysis. The counseling was applied to 20 married clients who received services from the Family and Religious Guidance Office of the Eyüpsultan Mufti's Office. The data were interpreted using descriptive analysis. According to the results of the research, it was determined that being religious and spiritual had positive effects on the clients who applied to the Family and Religious Guidance Office in coping with their problems. This thesis contributes to the establishment of inner-family peace by addressing the structure of family problems, communication processes, the search for meaning, and strategies for attaining happiness within a religious and spiritual context.
