Abstract (EN)

Parts produced using sheet metal molds are widely utilized in various industries. One of the preferred applications is bending die tooling. The main issue observed during the forming process using sheet metal molds is springback. When examining the springback occurring in V-bending processes, it is found that there is a lack of graphs showing the amount of springback at different angles for materials with varying thicknesses. During the study, V-bending molds and the experimental materials, AISI 316 and S355JR (ST52) sheet metal plates, were used to determine the amount of springback. Samples with thicknesses of 2 mm and 3 mm were subjected to experiments using bending angles of 60, 90, and 120 degrees, and bending radii of 2 mm and 4 mm for each angle. Digital measurement devices were used to determine the amount of springback in the sample products after the experiments. The obtained findings were then compared according to predetermined parameters. The conducted study revealed a higher amount of springback in S355JR (ST52) sheet metal plates. It was observed that as the selected bending angle value increased, the springback decreased. It was also determined that the springback was directly proportional to the thickness of the selected sheet metal and increased with an increase in the bending radius value.
