Abstract (EN)
Marine pollution risk is increase with shifting of the transport to maritime which is more loading capacities and also much more economic way for the transport. Catastrophic marine pollution is generally caused by accidental pollution but chronic pollution of the marine environment is more often illegal discharges and loading/unloading facilities. The sources of pollution from illegal discharges from ships, which are generally from sintine, ballast water, sludge tanks flush, kitchen and toilet water flush while they are on the route or in the sea areas. The reason of the accidental pollution from bunker or loading oil from collision, conflict and sank of the ships. There are mechanical and chemical techniques for clean-up petroleum from marine environment. According to the size of the incident, these two clean-up techniques use respectively. When mechanical methods are not sufficient or the situation are not suitable, then chemical clean-up methods are preferred. Dispersants are chemicals which have surfactant in their chemical composition, they disperse oil from small droplets for easily dispersed in the water column. In this study, accumulation of the dispersed oil, which was dispersed with detergent, in mussels (Mytilus galloprovincialis L.1819) was tested in the laboratory conditions. Mussel were collected from Trabzon coasts. They acclimatized with clean sea water for three days. After that, they were put in the aquaria, that were filled with prepared solutions (dizel oil, detergents and dizel+detergents ), and they were monitored for 5 days. After experiment, mussel flesh were extracted for calculation of the dizel concentrations by using spectroflorometer. In addition to that, mussel extract were scanned by using syncroneous spectrofluorometer for separation of the dizel compounds in different wavelengths (200-600nm). The results of this study that, there was a differences between dizel oil and dispersed dizel oil accumulation in the mussel tissues.
